She's not very happy πŸ˜•

#ParlourPalm #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict

So I was away for a week (no longer than the usual watering schedule) and I came back to her being all floppy. I wonder if the heating being on is having an impact? She feels really dry. I have watered and supported the stems in the hope she will pick up but realistically will I have to cut her back and re-grow? I'm struggling with the winter adjustment, as I mentioned, I think the heating is having the opposite of the expected effect and may mean more watering is needed?...

Any helpful thoughts or suggestions welcome. TIA πŸŒΏπŸ’šπŸͺ΄

It’s possible. How close to the heat is the plant? If possible, move it to a spot where it won’t be too near the heat if it is close.

Our homes tend to have lower humidity in the winter. You may need to adjust your watering. It is important to check the soil frequently. This way you can provide or withhold water properly.

Don’t give up on her yet. Plants have great survival programming. Keep watering her appropriately and watch her to see how she does before chopping her. She may be fine. ❀️
Try misting a couple times per week in the winter to help with humidity
These actually like to be dry similar to succulents. Ive had quite a few trials with these and the drier they are the more they flourish! When i went by gregs watering schedule they got dry brown and floppy from root rot every time.
Watering about every 2.5 weeks and lots of partial sun has had mine blooming seeds and sprouting non stop. They are drout lovers!
water 1x a month in the winter months but a bit of humidity is best for Parlours from my experience.
