Agaves love warm brighter climates. I have two growing in my garage in Utah (zone 6) in pots. Both are doing really well, but I have them in loamy soils with mulch up top to insult, as well as I dry them between watering and keep grow lights on them, for 6-9 hours a day.. and I have heaters keeping them warm. If your window isn’t well insulated I’d recommend putting a little heat pad under your little buddy and add a full spectrum light that you can just clip on its pot. - then let it dry out between watering.
@Idplantthat Well, I live in North Carolina, so I have to keep mine indoors, at least for the winter. It’s under a grow-light in a south-facing window, but as you can see, its leaves are drooping and I’m not sure why. Should I repot it, and if so what kind of pot and soil should I use?
