Yes you always want to snip off any brown leaves and clean up any dropped leaves in the pot. Otherwise it is an invitation to pests. Plus cutting off those brown leaves will help your plant to focus its energy on new healthy growth.
Ideally if there is a way too you should move the plant away from the window since transcendias are sensitive to the cold. Ideally 6 feet away.
