Whats up with this leaf?

I asked this question a few days ago, but I don't think it's root rot. It started as a small yellow spot, now it's turning brown even. What's the cause? Should I cut this leaf off?

I used to have bush lilly in California. Looks like a little bit of sunburn. They are very fussy about direct light. The leaf won't recover so go ahead and snip right through the dry stuff to take the tip off. The base of the leaf will probably be fine.

Those spots might be scale which is a plant parasite. But it could also be sun stress it is hard to tell from that photo.

If it is scale cut that leaf off and throw it away. Check all your plants and treat for scale either with manually scraping them off and washing the plants or a scale specific pesticide.

If it isn't scale check for webbing (spider mites) or thrips. Those can both be treated with neem oil or other types of pesticides.

If it isn't coming off the leaves then it is a different type of pest, bacteria, or sunburn.
