Sedums like at least 6 hours of light.

Keep it in the same room with the south-facing window, but put it in the windowsill. Most succulents like lots of light

Like @GnarlyJacaranda said, sedums like light. Gradually build it up to full sun, especially if you just got it from the nursery.
