Plant is dropping leaves.

A few months ago it was getting moldy from too much water. I was blindly watering by the recommended times in the app. Started paying attention to only watering when when soil is dry and added a grow lamp, as recommended. It was thriving for a month. Now, two major leaves have dropped off. Any tips are appreciated.

@CopiousCat55 You can remove the dead leaves by cutting them off with a pair of sterilized scissors. Just so the plant is able to focus its energy on making new leaves and roots instead of towards leaves that aren't coming back. I'm glad you caught on about always checking your plants soil before blindly watering. That's not really explained which is unfortunate. Especially for new plant parents. So you know not to water until you checked it but don't let the soil completely dry out before giving it a drink. Put your finger into the soil a couple of inches first. If it feels dry then give it water until you see water draining out of the bottom of the pot. Take it off the grow light. Real sun light is always best unless you need it to supplement like during the winter when light is scarce. Instead put Peter in a sunny window. Either an East facing window for morning sun. If you put it in a West or South West facing window make sure the sun isn't directly shining on its leaves. If it is just move it slightly back away from the window, less than 3 feet for optimal daylight. All he needs is the right conditions and he'll come back. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ You got this!!
@princesspitstop thank you so much!! These are amazing tips! Will do. Hopefully I can report back when Peter is thriving. I will trim leaves and find a better spot. I appreciate it!! ๐Ÿ˜Š
@CopiousCat55 Anytime! I can't wait for you to post a brand new leaf!! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š
