Recently brought this plant inside and now the leaves are...

#DesertRosePlant
2ft to light, direct
8” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 weeks ago
How big is the plant compared to the pot and what type of soil is it in?
Plant is about 7” tall , got it this past June. As I stated before it was outside in a hot NYC summer until last week.
I would leave it alone it is probably just in shock from the temperature change and will bounce back soon. I know mine can be temperamental that way and drop their leaves after they yellow only to come back stronger. Don’t water it as much now though. If it was out last week then it likely experienced cold nights forcing it into dormancy. That is fine and your plant will thank you for it. If you’re lucky it will flower next year after some rest you can pick up watering normally after leaves start forming again.
Hi Marie, it looks like your desert rose is going dormant, which happen in the fall/winter months. The leaves will yellow and fall off- it’s normal. Not sure where you’re located, but when temperature drops to 50 degrees F, bring it inside or the cold will kill it. Stop watering it- no more water until springtime. Watering it will bring it out of dormancy as the plant will think@it’s time to get growing and flowering. Mi e has started yellowing and dropping its leaves and I will bring it inside very soon- but it’s still 80 degrees here! I hope this helps 😊
