any tips on how to help this plant thrive?
Iβve had this plant for over a year and itβs so sad :-( I usually keep something in the pot to help this middle one stay upright. I have it in a succulent mix with some added perlite and I was watering every 2 weeks during the summer but Iβm watering less now. Itβs currently in a south west facing window #ElephantBush #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #help

@charlenebean elephant bush require more frequent waterings than most other succulents. One reason is due to their thin, fragile leaves. I see a few of your leaves look slightly wrinkled, which is a surefire sign they're thirsty. Terracotta pots help the soil dry out much faster, which is great for preventing root rot, but also means you'll need to water more regularly. These plants also don't need as much direct sun as other succulents, so depending where you're located, a southwest window *might* be a bit too much during the hottest part of the year. If it's currently winter where you are, it's fine to leave it there. But come spring/early summer, you might consider moving it somewhere with less direct sun in the afternoon (like an east or north facing window).
I leave mine alone and it seems to be happy. It gets like 8-10 hours of 1500+ FC of light. I water it when it completely dries out. It is in a spot where the AC doesnt blow on it; I know they do not like colder weather. Its fine in standard home humidity which mine is around 49% and needs to stay ventilated to avoid moisture build up on the leaves. I hope that helps!
I added a photo of mine.

@jkdykes this is how I treat mine too. Itβs also outdoors, but on a covered patio, and I hot, arid climate.
