My Golden pothos needs help!😭

Hey plant lovers🙋🏾‍♀️ So my aunt sent me a snipping from her plant which I originally gave to her when I left NY 5 years ago. Anyways it was a beauty when it got to me, I kept it in water a while longer and transferred it to fresh soil. Now it's doing TERRIBLE 😭 It has lost so many leaves due to yellowing, those pesky little knats were in the soil... I tried treating it, changing locations and finally today I put her back in water with some peroxide because the root was a little yellow. Did I do the right thing? Should I Never put her back in soil? Please leave me some advice.

Answer

It may have not had enough roots yet. You should have at least 3" of roots before transferring to soil, but you can keep pothos in water prop for a long time. The longer you allow roots to establish, the better the plant will do when transferring to soil.
