Why do my Alocasia leaves droop?

5ft to light, indirect

4β pot with drainage

Last watered 1 month ago
If it's new it will droop. They don't like being moved.
If there's too little light, or you're watering too often, it's overwatering and it will also droop. Check roots for rot, remove rotten roots, and use fresh soil. Ensure pot has drainage and only water when soil is 40-50% dry from the top [measure using finger].
If there's too much light, or you're not watering enough, it'll also droop due to underwatering. Usually the leaves will curl as well. Adjust watering such that water continuously flows out of the pot. If you have soft water [no water softener installedβit's naturally soft], you can run it under the tap for roughly 5-10mins. Aerate the soil if needed by poking holes [gently into the soil surface].
