Browning tips! Overwatering or Underwatering?

I don’t think I am overwatering him, the soil gets quite dry before it’s time to water again. Maybe too little water? Could it be sunburn? Could it be time to repot? And if I do repot, should I use regular soil or continue with the coco coir? #help
0ft to light, direct
2” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
I haven’t cared for one but I think next to the window should be good! Did you maybe water when it was getting direct sun? That could’ve crisped the ends a bit. Or maybe the pot edges get warm in the sun? Does the pot have a drainage hole? Coco coir is usually good for saplings :)
I agree! From what I read this plant is very picky as trees are in general. I would keep the coco coir and make sure it has drainage, 6+ hours of filtered sun, and gets soaked after the top 1-2 inches of soil becomes dry
@fabiana Do you think coco coir and a regular soil mix is okay? That’s what I used because I didn’t have enough of just coco coir, so I’m hoping it’ll be okay in the mix
@plantymcplant hmm maybe, but I would just add perlite instead of peat etc because then it might be too compact
