Yellow variegation on my white fusion
What does this mean? I see no sign of pests. Itβs shooting out new growth. Any tips? #WhiteFusionCalathea #CalatheaCrew #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #TipsandTricks #TipsyTuesday #helpneeded #PlantTherapy #Calathea #CalatheaWhiteFusion #GregGang #GregFeedback #GreggersSupportingGreggers #Greggers

@Frebs this is a sign of βBlightβ, I have the same issue happening to 3 of my White Fusions and a diagnose app that diagnosed it as βBlightβ which is a fungal infection due to soil staying too moist for too long, it recommended treating with cooper fungicide spray each week and set up a care plan routine, yet Iβm not sure just yet if this is helping or harming due to the high sensitivity of the leafs of the White Fusionβsβor βStella White Fusionβsβ I have. It has been extremely hot here for over two weeks and very humid too which has kept the soil moist and watering cycle low to not overwater to create the onset of a fungal issue in the soil. Iβve also tried my spa shower routine of a mixture of Castile essential oil soap, added to water with peroxide and, alcohol for any and all things and just waiting to see if they come out of this illness. You should quarantine away from others as this fungal issue can spread to other leafs and plants.
I agree with @GnarlyJacaranda! Sometimes old growth needs to die off in order for new growth to flourish. It's probably normal!

I am currently investigating same issue with my white fusion. When I repotted I divided her into four plants and have each of them with just a little bit different care. After about a week of watching them and based on how each of them are doing, my diagnosis is they want more humidity. I think this is caused primarily from lack of humidity. π
I have a feeling that although thereβs drainage, itβs still getting waterlogged. When you are watering your plant, I would recommend either putting it somewhere where it can properly drip water out or put a towel under it to do the same for a while.
Another option is to repot in a nursery potter and use that pot for decoration only. That way you can pull it out and see if the soil is still wet and helps with drainage
