Hi everyone! I'm brand new here and hope to find help for...

#thanksgivingcactus
0ft to light, indirect
5” pot with drainage
Last watered 4 weeks ago
@LadyMossfern69 Is the plant new to you? If so it's normal for them to drop their buds not long after arriving at your home. They are very sensitive and are acclimating to their new surroundings. They thrive in indirect light. If they aren't given enough light and they'll never bloom and given too much they'll start to produce purple segments due to stress and are ultimately protecting themselves from too much sun. If you start noticing purple segments or new leaves move it back from the light. ☺️ They bloom from mid November to late December sometimes into January. While it's possible for more blooms it might have to wait until next year.
Like @princesspitstop said, it's totally normal for them to drop buds after being moved. They go dormant after blooming, so the best thing to do for it right now is reduce watering and put it in an East facing window. Once you see new growth in the spring, repot it into a fast draining soil. You can toss it outside for the summer (a covered patio is ideal) and that'll help super charge it's growth for autumn blooms.
@Charli3Plant I'm in the middle of Texas and my little guy thinks it's Spring! He won't after tomorrow though. There's a front coming. This Winter has been very odd.
