@New_Plant_Mama it looks a bit big so yes - take it out - check the roots - put it into a nursery pot - more than twice is too big when you repot unless it is a fast grower like for instance calathea network.
How long ago did you repot her? That pot looks a bit large for her, it’s no shame in nursing her back in a smaller pot.
I feel your pain! I would try very hard to not over water. If it is inside, I know they like sun, but I would make it in the morning if possible. Give it some recovery time. And good luck! I lost several of my sedums this past spring to aphids and thrips. Had to go back and plant shop again!
@Mjaubeibi40 I repotted her right after I got her. I think that pot is four or 4 1/2 inches and I bought her in a 2 inch pot. Do you think that would help? I actually have two of these and both are looking rather sad.οΏΌ
Or you can pot several together
Yes I agree. The soil looks super moist for a succulent, so the first thing I would do is check for root rot. Succulents usually don’t like to have a lot of room around their roots and prefer them be crowded, so I would size down to a 2.5-3” pot and only water it when the soil gets completely dry to avoid causing any stress
@Mjaubeibi40 maybe I’ll just put them both together in this pot? 🀞🏻
@New_Plant_Mama yes - just check the roots first and cut away any root rot
And sometimes they don’t always need to be repotted after buying! In my experience they seem to like getting pot bound before repotted. I hope your stonecrop does better soon!
@fabiana It looks wet but it’s dry. I’m going to move them both to a shallower pot and hope they like that better! Thanks for your help!
