From personal experience, alocasia are indifferent to humidity and are okay with whatever humidity the grower is comfortable with. If you want to take it to the shower for a stem bath, you can, but if you don't, that's okay too; I don't think it will affect the plantβs health majorly outside of giving it that glossy appearance.
@HotshotMingfern yes and great idea. High humidity levels are crucial for keeping Alocasia amazonica healthy, as it mimics its natural rainforest habitat. Aim for at least 60% humidity. I would be placing it on the counter in the bathroom while I shower. It will definitely soak up all the humidity and thank you for it. I donβt have this variety yet but I do have a Silver Dragon and a Black Velvet. I have them in a grow tent with lights and a humidifier. They do well. You could also place the plant on top of a pebble tray filled with water which will increase the moisture around your plant.
