Unfortunately, the tops of almost all grafted cacti die off eventually and there is no way to stop it. This may just be the end of the red gymnocalyciumβs life cycle. On the bright side, if it dies off, keep taking care of the green part. It will grow after the grafted part is gone! The green part appears to be a dragon fruit cactus, so it will grow! Hope this helps!!
