#Philodendron Spiritus sancti - climber?

So, I know Spiritus-sancti is a hemiepiphyte, but I've been getting different opinions from friends and all places on whether I should install a pole for it. Some say that while it won't climb, there will be a difference regarding leaf sizes. Others say a pole is a no-go.
Anyone with experience has an opinion?
