Jade prop from leaf
When a jade leaf falls off, should I place it IN the soil for propagation or just set it on top to encourage pup growth? I found this guy had fallen off at the plant shop while purchasing pots and I snagged him up! I just put him in a new pot. #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #NewPlantMom

@Jilliebeanstalk 😆 Look, these things happen! I hate seeing plants go to waste. When I worked in an office building they’d replace the plants and THROW THEM OUT. Can you believe it?! They finally just started bringing them to me because they saw me rescuing them near the dumpster.

@Jilliebeanstalk awwwe 🥲 keep trying. Put them in good soil. I use Miracle Grow’s cactus & palm soil. People say not to water until roots appear, but for most leafs, I moisten the soil before roots and place them in a warm place but not in direct sunlight. For non succulent leafs, I use spagnum moss in a vented carry out container. About your husband’s plants, I would skip the cinnamon (never had much positive come of it) and cut back on the water. For your remaining succulents, they look like sedums; this plant type likes watered even less then Jade. I hope that helps! The flapjack, Jade, and haworthia looks great! 🤩 keep it up!!
