Pineapple has brown leaves

I should've done this earlier. I decided to transfer my pineapple to soil because the water stank and had a weird coating on it. I cleared some of the pineapple off and repotted into a terracotta pot. Sadly, it has no drainage. I'm thinking about adding a drainage layer (similar to a terrarium).

It had brown leaves. What can I do now?

@Catplantaddict If the leaves 🍍are turning brown from the tips and progressing inward, it's most likely due to too much sun exposure.
@noemijane1 it doesn't experience that much sun, it receives morning and afternoon sun. Where do I put it instead?
@Catplantaddict if not sun exposure, then it might be that the temperature of the surrounding is hot for the plant. A well-draining pot is a must so u can give it a good watering to hydrate the leaves and keep the dust levels down. Always give it a mist. Another reason for browning of tips could only be that there is fungal infection. You mentioned water stank where ur pineapple was. Then maybe root rot. 🀞🏼
@noemijane1 it's not that hot, also my humidity is pretty high naturally. Also no roots yet. How can I treat this?
I keep mine in a dry room. I actually also only water is 75% of what Greg says and it’s happy as Larry. They don’t grow in moist soil very well. Yes, moist air but not the soil I found.
