Please help, something seems wrong.

I was gifted this on February 7th when it was repotted and heavily watered at the shop. I took a picture of it day of where it is bright and lots of pink. I set a watering schedule that told me to give it 1/8 cup water yesterday which I did. But upon placing it back near its window I noticed how dull it looked. I’m concerned I shouldn’t have watered it yesterday if it’s rotting potentially. I’m new to caring for plants (always had them and always killed them 😬) and I really want to do right by her! Please any advice, there is before and after pictures that are pretty clear from the level of pink. #EarthStars

@UphorbiaUphoria I actually do both and my plants seem to love it. You will be able to tell if they like it too . I think it’s the coolest thing I do the misting every morning when I get up . I don’t do a lot of misting though just a couple sprays , but my humidifier stays on all day and night for them.
Hi! One reason for it being dull is lack of sun, I noticed this on my tradescantias, the level of sun can sometimes determine how pink they get. I would just leave it in the window and hope it soaks up some sun!
Plant colors can change depending upon the amount of sunlight they get! If it’s getting more or less sun than it was before, that would explain the color change! However, to prevent overwatering, don’t water it if it’s already wet at the top! Hope this helps!
I would put a humidifier by it
Wow that is actually so big and beautiful!! I have had 3 and man, they’ve been so small and I cannot at all grow these beautiful suckers! I love them. I want them but I have no idea what the special trick to these are.
@Keysgirl0179 have you been able to keep them alive at least? Any suggestions?
@PrimoLilliput would misting be a good substitute? Or it definitely needs a humidifier?
@PrimoLilliput okay thanks for the advice! I’m going to start with just misting because living in in the PNW it’s hard to combat mold in the home with humidity already so I’d like to avoid a humidifier in the winter if I can.
@UphorbiaUphoria I have been able to keep them alive and silly me just saw another one that OMG it’s beautiful. I need it so I ordered it. Hahahaha. I’m so hoping I can get it. Idk what I’m doing wrong. I water it, I googled what kind of soil it needs and I plant it and that, I have a humidifier that I keep on, although I do turn it off I only leave it on for like six hours. I don’t know do they need it all day and night, can it be too much? Maybe that’s the problem and I need to keep it on all day and night. I just don’t know. It’s it’s just small and I can’t get it to although I do see new little growth in the very middle of it.
