Basil has white powdery color

My basil plant has been showing these creamy ish color to the leaves around the bottom. The top or new leaves are still growing and looks green. I water it every 3 days or so. Can somebody help me identify what the cause could be?
Last watered 1 month ago
I'm not 100% on this...but I know basil like to get bright, direct sunlight. And sunlight contributes to the development of chlorophyll, which is what gives leaves their green color. So, maybe it needs more sun? ๐ŸŒž
@minacat you might also be overwatering. If your plant isn't getting direct sunlight, it might not need to be watered as often as every 3 days (especially in a plastic pot, which holds onto moisture a lot longer than, say, terracotta)
Thanks for the response! @stephonicle actually I put it in the South facing window (indoor) for couple months now and it was healthy so I think it shouldn't be a problem ๐Ÿค”
Probably overwatering... :( eventhough I did check and it was dry but yeah. I'm leaving as is for now. The leaves was getting black near the edge as well. I thought it was fungal disease or burnt.. so hard to figure out ๐Ÿ˜ญ
