My maidenhair fern is all brown. What did I do wrong
Last watered 2 months ago
My immediate guess is humidity. Maidenhair ferns need suuper high humidity. π¨πͺ΄ To increase it you can get a humidifier, group with other plants so they make a small humid biome between them, or use a βpebble trayβ which is simply a dish or bowl full of water and pebbles you put under your plant that will evaporate over time and increase humidity that way. The second thing I notice is that your pot has no drainage holes (which can cause root rot easily because water is stuck inside with no escape π§) If you really like the pot but would like to fix the draining, you can buy another pot with holes OR a plastic nursery pot and put it inside that one and move your plant into the inside pot so theres space for water to escape :) Iβm not certain that the pot is the problem, but it could be in the future (and maidenhair ferns are imfamous for being wayyy more forgiving when the humidity is higher π
) Hope this helps!
