Snake plant help
I’ve had this snake plant for a few years and it’s done well but I just had a whole clump of leaves get soggy bases, fall over and then pull right out of the ground when I touched them. Is this just overwatering or a pest? I don’t see any bugs but I did see some gnats on a plant in the other room. The rest of the plant is looking pretty good and I’ve had some new growth on it.
10ft to light, indirect
9” pot without drainage

overwatering for sure
you can cut off the rotting parts and put it in dry soil and they should root agai.
sorry for the spam. You may want to repot it into a pot that has drainage. that may have been what led to the rot. in the future only water a snake when the top 3" of soil are bone dry. don't worry about underwatering, my friend @Curry once didn't water his snake plant for almost 3 months and it only lost one leaf πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Can confirm, you can neglect them for an eternity. I literally forgot this plant existed for months
Over watering. They can survive for a long time without water.
