Help! What do I do! I left it out side to get sun but I f...
@iamkathryn I canβt tell from that picture if that is a cutting or what? Ok I enlarged it and it is an entire plant.
If it seems like just that one leaf was affected than cut it off. That will give the rest of the plant a chance to recover and get stronger without wasting energy on that damaged leaf. Watch it and nurture it and if all goes well, itβll come back. Stay on top of your care and time will tell. Looking at the other leaves (from what I can see) so far they look salvageable.π€π½maybe take another photo and show the entire plant. Also to get more responses tag a few heavily populated groups into your u question post. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict for instance. Good luck, you got this.

I also have an avocado tree outdoors it has been in the 40βs with daytime temps in the 70s as well except Iβm in CA. How old is your tree?
Mine stays outdoors year round. I suspect it was not on a covered porch?
The reason I ask is this baby trees, AKA saplings are much weaker than an older tree. So I would suggest if it is younger that 6 months old than bring it indoors and it will sprout new foliage. You will have to be patient that because it wonβt happen fast.
6-12 months you can try it outside if covered by a porch . You want to prevent frost buildup on the plant.
If it is over a year old than it will be fine outdoors. Especially if you have a covered porch. I keep mine on my covered porch.
The first year it did lose most of its leaves but now it is fine itβs about 2 years old. But like I said itβs on a covered porch for protection. It gets into the 20s-30s here through winter and it has adjusted well.
If it gets any colder than the 20s I would definitely move it indoors. Avocado trees do best in warmer climates. But itβs okay that the leaves are like that it will grow new ones. I would cut off the worst leaves and try to leave one or two if possible.
Hope this helps π
