my aloe has been looking really sad lately, more yellow than the pic shown. it’s also growing super slowly. any ideas what’s wrong?

I notice your pot doesn’t have drainage. Do you tend to check your soil before watering? My aloe did the same without drainage due to waterlogged soil; it might be time to check your roots for root rot.
I too would say over watering. They don’t need a ton of watering and they like well draining soils and pots.
If your soil is too wet you can carefully clean up her roots after taking her out the soil (cut out root rot if it isn’t too much; lightly brush off wet soil) let her sit on a paper towel for a day or two before repotting to let her dry out.
Aloe’s definitely need drainage, at least let it dry out completely before watering until you can get it in a pot with drainage.
thanks for the tips guys! i dug her up to check the roots and pretty much all were rotted. i decided to just cut off all the dead stuff and try to propagate the healthy growth. i’ll definitely let the soil dry out for much longer after this. thanks again!
