Rooting

#Aglaonema I had a coworker gift me a Chinese evergreen in soil. It was not rooted before she put it in soil. It’s been 5 days in soil now & she looks sadder everyday (picture is what she looked like when I get her). She’s wilted significantly since then.

Should I take her out of soil & root in water ? Or leave her be and hope she’ll root in the soil?

Thank you

Are you saying, your Chinese Evergreen Plant, was in water first, then soil afterwards? If so, your plant has to acclimate( adjust) to change of condition, from water to soil, plus the roots have to adjust from being in water to soil too. Give your plant time to adjust, if you keep switching your plant from one thing to another, it will go into shock.
