Brown spots on my calathea
I keep getting these brown spots on the leaves of my calathea orbifolia. And now one of the new leaves that is uncurling has one. What is causing this? I’ve been watering it with distilled water because I know how finicky calatheas are about the water. #CalatheaCrew

It looks like a lack of humidity. Calathea’s need high humidity or they will throw a fit lol. I moved mine to a bathroom a couple months ago and she has replaced all of her leaves with healthy new ones! No crisping up, no browning whatsoever.
@babyfiretiger13 I wish I could do that but I don’t have a window in my bathroom
Maybe try a pebble tray or a humidifier?
Agree has to be the humidity, try putting some leca on the bottom of the cash pot and have some extra water there and bring into the shower every once and a while for an added surge.
