Rooting powder yes/no

Hey jade friends -- my Gemma's not in the habit of dropping leaves, but tonight I was gifted with one. I mean to attempt propagation, and I have rooting powder handy. Is it a good idea for this species, or should I stick with the usual methods? #Crassula

Be careful. I started propogating these when I would accidentally knock one off or if one dropped, I have a jade army. I just lay it on top of the dirt, put a little dirt sprinkled on the end, kept moist.
Nah, succulents really don't need rooting hormones.
@Jessejohn wow! Impressive! I’ve never had great luck with jade plants. I notice yours have lots of sun. I probably also overdid β€˜kept moist.’
@CaringAngelmoss I honestly probably kept them to moist except they were on a seedling mat with grow lights when prop’d, so that’s probably a factor. I have basement daylight windows that also have 4’ grow lights on from 11-7 so as long as I don’t completely forget them they will take some serious neglect, and I keep the windows base at 70 degrees through winter so ya know, they have it pretty nice.
