👋🏻 Hey #GregGang,

We've arrived at the end of another week and you know what that means! Time to celebrate all the #NewGrowth our plants have to offer. Drop a picture in the comments and don't forget to like and comment on your favs. You really can make someone's day.

🌟 Certified Fresh Posts 🌟

🐝 Sometimes we make sacrifices for the future of plants everywhere, at least sometimes @NightBloom does. She noticed a solitary leaf cutter bee had taken up home in her spider plant and, admirably, is letting it wither until the new baby bees emerge. #SaveTheBees indeed. https://greg.app/post/16BGCS

🧙🏻‍♂️ Good to see you and your new Peperomia, @KillerTofu! Sounds like the job and life are super exciting. Love Orwell's pot and cannot wait to see him grow! https://greg.app/post/3QRHNF

😲 @hoooneybugs claims to have found the perfect Dragon Scale Alocasia and it's truly hard to argue with her. AND SO CHEAP! The leaves in the pictures are just amazing. What a find! https://greg.app/post/1YXTPN

🌸 Did you get a chance to see @AC73LoveCats' garden??? The flowers are absolutely popping off! I love how colorful it all is and full of life! https://greg.app/post/3R6L6K

📷 Finally, check out @A.J.'s in credible photoshoot of her plants. Love when we get super artsy on here. Plants are so beautiful and A.J.'s are no exception! https://greg.app/post/3J4M11

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

#newgrowth for #freshleaffriday on the monstera that inspired my username this time last year!
Spring has sprung here and there are new leaves and pups everywhere I look!
Lots of #NewGrowth all over my tiny Hoyas, these are some of my favorites. First one on the Sunrise is so whacky with the way the growth points and the 4 new leaves are arranged. Second has such interesting coloration, on the Carnosa Wilbur Graves, will be curious to see what these leaves look like when they mature. Third, can’t be considered new growth much longer after blowing up last night, but I’ve been ogling the beautiful tiny lines on the Gunung Gading.
#FreshLeafFriday Happy Friday! Sooo glad it’s almost the weekend 👍 Loving Gordon Sumner the Stingray alocasia new leaf 🍃. It looked so crazy as it emerged 👾 And this philodendron! #FreshLeafFriday #NewGrowth #GregGang Well, Happy Friyay to one and all ! I cannot think of a better way to avoid doing pesky housework than posting all the new growth; so here we go: I am pretty sure you all know who’s who, but just in case you don’t feel free to ask! Does anyone else think that the Gasteria Flow in the third picture needs a new pot ??
My Pink Princess showing out
@SwiftMedeola Leslie! Beautiful! Your summer flowers (perennials?) are starting up before mine. I planted my vegs last weekend and hope to have time to post about it soon. And— I planted my zinnia seeds in the zinnia garden, including the ones you sent me! I always have to plant those the first frost-free weekend when I plant the tomatoes because they need to get ahead of the weeds that will also come up, and choke them out, which is a superpower of zinnias. I saved the button box kind to plant somewhere else I will figure out, because button zinnias are smaller and the larger zinnia plants end up pushing them around, even when I plant them in front. This weekend I work on the marigolds and then, impatiens. Love seeing your flower pics! @SwiftMedeola
@Halfhalf I’m absolutely fascinated with your Philodendron Birkin 😍💕👍👍
@Ms.Persnickety thank you! She is fairly new to the Oasis but is adapting well and putting out new growth!
#FreshLeafFriday Second round of some of the newest growth since spring started...including a tray of tiny little succulant props I thought I would give a try.
#FreshLeafFriday #NewGrowth How could I possibly have forgotten to mention one of my favorite Ficus trees , as well as the little Hoya Krimson Queen
My new babies I just got yesterday! I’m new at this, I look forward to learning from all y’all 💚
I planted the seed last week; with any luck, I’ll have a Blue Clip Venus Flytrap! Fingers crossed!
I’m so excited to see a new leaf and root popping up on my orchid. I’ve never been able to keep one alive before but thanks to #OrchidLovers for all the advice it’s growing happily. My pothos is sending out happy shoots after cutting off a few leaves for props. My begonias are flowering which is so great bc all of my others (and my coleus’) died over the winter.
Lots and lots of new growth here...😍😍😍

A mighty big surprise too... my husband bought me a greenhouse! 🤗🤗🤗 very exciting...
I have had all kinds of #NewGrowth this week! Cardinal Philo, Silver Philo, Red Sun Philo, PPP Philo, Medusa #FreshLeafFriday
@MariansOasis hey 👋 if you get any corms or babies from your stingray I'd love to trade you for someeeeee🙌
It's been only shy of a month since I picked Chester up off his back in a neglected tray at the local gardening center. I fell in love. I cleaned up the excess growth, chopped a couple babies off and here he is now growing another baby off one of the previous babies. He's come a long way. 🥰
Starting to turn pink more and more now
Glad I caught this one blooming because the flowers only last one day.
@BotanicalBarbie I’m not sure if there really is a blue Venus fly trap. I have heard people in reviews say there isn’t. But even if it’s a regular fly trap it’s still really cool. Just keep the soil wet and use distilled water and keep high humidity and lots of light. They will go dormant without enough light. And don’t throw them away if they die. They usually just go dormant and will grow back
Thank you!! Blue is not a natural color to achieve with any plant, but I’m still stoked if it actually grows a real live Venus fly trap! I have him sitting under a grow light to help give him a boost. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. 💙
@BotanicalBarbie I love carnivorous plants. Always have. The fly traps are a little higher maintenance but always cool to have. I have one. It gets white flowers that look really nice. I didn’t know they flowered until I saw this one flower. My pitcher plant was repotted and the pitchers are getting bigger. Just took these pictures. The other pitcher plant in the last pic also needs to be repotted now
@BotanicalBarbie make sure the grow lights are on for a long time. I think people usually give them like 15 hours of light a day or more. I have to check what mine is set at. Mine is starting to go dormant and made need more light for longer now. The only blue plants I usually see in nature are cacti. There’s some cacti that have some really cool looking blue skin
#NewGrowth lots of new growth this week. The new leaf on the caletha is my favorite this week. I rescued her a few weeks back from Home Depot. So I’m happy for the new leaf
My co-workers for today 🤣🤣🤣
@BotanicalBarbie and yeah regardless of what color it ends up being it’s going to be so cool if it’s a fly trap. They get super tiny traps at first. Also look into getting sundew plants. That’s one of the easiest to grow and care for and they eat way more bugs since the leaves are sticky they can catch bugs of almost any size. The fly trap has to have the perfect size bugs. Not too big and not too small. The sundew eats everything. Especially fungus gnats
@AnthuriumQueen what is the black soil you’re using? I can’t tell if it’s pumice or rocks or what but it looks so good with the plants like that.
@SirLiquorice Gorgeous!! I love it! I grow vegetable plants too. Probably kinda weird to tell folks you’re growing spaghetti squash on the window ledge of your bedroom! 😂
@skyhighsplants - a plant exchange would be so fun!
#NewGrowth #Dieffenbachia #Philodendron #BirdOfParadise I’m always excited to see a new leaf on the philodendron that one takes so long to produce them seems like. I’ve had it since November and only 2 new leaves…
@BotanicalBarbie if that's weird (window squash) I don't wanna be normal
@BotanicalBarbie I only have tomato plants growing right now. But they are out on the front porch and balcony. Along with about 200 cacti and succulents. Lol
@BotanicalBarbie you should check with @RealSimpleMama and the #SaturdaySwaps groups!
