Time for a Haircut?
Thinking it might be time to give my Pothos a trim! She's been trimmed and propagated once so far (added those props to the pot to make it more full). #propagation #pothospack
1ft to light, direct
10” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 days ago
Beautiful pothos!
In my experience pothos loves to be cut back. Propogate and add back to pot.
@Witchy_Bs_ that's the plan! I've done it a few times now and added to the top. It's crazy how fast it grew out again 🌿😎
@FinlayQuinn83 she is a beauty. 😍πŸ₯°
Go for it!!
@FinlayQuinn83 I would definitely propagate it.
Absolutely! Keep trimming & re-adding for a super full look!
I definitely would !
Such a good idea to put the propagated cutting back in the pot with the mother plant to make it fuller! Why don’t I ever think of that?! Duh! πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ thanks for the idea!
Suggestions for cutting back and propagating? I also have a pothos that could use a trim.
Great idea to chop & prop once again! Yes…go for the β€œhaircut” and Pothos will root so quickly … love this plant’s growth and beauty!
@tess you can cut as many cuttings as you feel comfortable, I usually only take a couple of cuttings (making sure there is a node on each one) then let it still for a bit so the cut end dries out a bit. Then I just place it in a small glass jar of water, making sure the node is in the water. If a leaf is going to be in the water, I'll remove that to prevent the leaf from rotting. I change the water as needed 😎
Such a gorgeous pothos! If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get the holder?
@ThatGirlWhoLikesPlants I found the macrame holder at Target last summer in their low cost section at the front of the store (it was only $5!). The plastic container that's it's living in is what it was in when it was given to me by a friend ☺️
