i got 3 conophytum calculus a year back, the big one is good and has given me no trouble, the smallest one is dead and i need to remove it…
but that one at the bottom was stuck (?) in the old skin for a long time, and since we’re already like halfway into the growing season for conos i decided to peel it to see how it was doing. thankfully it’s still green but the bottom looks like it was about to start rotting if i hadn’t peeled it earlier, and it’s significantly smaller than the normal one. the two living ones have healthy roots, do you guys have any ideas about what caused this and how to prevent it next time? #Mesembs #Conophytum
