I'll be honest, Kentia Palms are very difficult to keep 'happy'.
They have requirements that most households don't have.
If the needs aren't met the fronds yellow and drop one by one.
They sell them as low light plants and say they will tolerate normal room humidity.
Well, they lie to sell plants. I'm not going to sugar coat it but be honest with you.
There are a couple of things you will need, a cool mist humidifier, right next to her. They need 50-60% humidity to be happy. There is no way around this. And nothing else will increase humidity enough. You could literally sit there all day misting her with a mister and it still wouldn't be enough. Plus misting is notorious for causing fungal infections. DO NOT MIST. It also does nothing to increase humidity.
The other thing is light, they need adequate light. If she is not directly in front of the east facing window it won't be enough. The size of the window also makes a difference. If it's not a big window, like a picture window. It won't have enough light. They like bright indirect light. If the window is small and she's directly in front it's considered medium indirect light. Off to the side would be low indirect.
That simply won't be enough for Kentia Palm. If she needs to stay there because that's the only spot. I recommend a grow light to supplement her needs.
Bright indirect for a Kentia would be a south facing window with a sheer curtain or direct in a nice big east or west facing window.
