Lemon tree
I went to Lowe's and got a tarp. I came home and pulled Sunny out of her pot. Her bottom soil was really compacted and a little damp. I didn't see any root rot. I did read on Google that lemon trees can suffer from dry root rot. I don't know what that is. Her leaves are still drying up and falling off. I pulled out all the rock from the bottom of her pot. I added some orchid bark and cow manure. My question is should I water her now that I've revamped her? #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #citrusgrandprix

Ive seen this alot were all the soil is soaking up the water EXCEPT a huge clump based around the root ball that was sometimes hard as a rock and not amount of water could break it up, you had to break it up yourself by hand. If the root ball is hellaciously dry i would let it soak in some room temp water(maybe just a smidgen tiddly bit warmer) for 15 minutes give or take so the roots arent so brittle and easily broken when you repot. Plus I'll further loosen any old dirt clumps still stuck. Then sprinkle cinnamon over all the roots and gently repot as normal. Wait like 3 - 4 days and then water it.
Me at each watering I prick with a stick to the bottom of the pot so that the water infiltrates to the bottom of course you don't have this problem with pots with drainage I realized that saving a plant with a lack of water and easier to save than a plant with too much water. I don't know if it will help my have a good day
I guess I would water a plant any time I have disturbed the roots because they won't be as well attached to the moist soil that is still present. But I haven't got experience with citrus trees. I used to see them at my garden centre with their leaves already falling and so I didn't dare to get one. Loads of good luck for yours, I really hope she can perk up. πΏπ
