Leaf color
Hi everyone! I just got this beauty yesterday, and I am new to plant care. Are the leaves supposed to be all pink? Is there anything I can do to help the coloration of the leaves because they look a little dull. I have cleaned them and it had water when I got it. Any tips? Thank you :) #NewPlantMom

Hey Isabella! Congrats on your new Pink Syngonium! They're so gorgeous π. It's totally normal for the leaves to look a little less pink when you first bring them home they're probably just adjusting to their new spot. Give it some time bright but indirect light (like near a window with a sheer curtain βοΈ direct sun can actually scorch the leaves!) and water only when the top inch or so of soil is dry. Stick your finger in to check if it feels dry up to your first knuckle it's probably time to water π§ Overwatering is the easiest way to accidentally hurt a plant so it's always better to err on the side of caution. ππͺ΄
@LilRootedWitch oh my goodness this was so helpful! Thank you so much! I donβt have any curtains so I have kept this plant near a north facing window and itβs with a humidifier that is on at night. Is that okay?
@PrettyPlant94 Glad it was helpful! North-facing windows can be a little tricky for pink syngoniums they often need more light to really bring out the pink. If you notice it's not as vibrant as you'd like, try moving it to an east or west-facing window (if you have one) or supplementing with a grow light. The humidifier is a good addition! Just remember to let the soil dry out a bit between waterings. π
@LilRootedWitch thank you!! I will try that. Youβre amazing βΊοΈ
