Rescue Plant and Watering Carnivores

Hi everyone!

Today I rescued a sarracenia scarlet belle from the discount shelf at my local garden centre.
What is the best way to help this plant recover or just it just need a good watering?

Speaking of water, I’m aware that carnivorous plants need distilled or rainwater, so what is the cheapest way to get these in the uk?
I don’t have any way of collecting loads of rainwater currently, which is an issue when we have dry spells, so I’d prefer to have a source of distilled water which doesn’t cost me loads of money.

@Kileskus If you wanted to test the pond water, you can buy a cheap tds (total dissolved solids) meter. If the water is below 50ppm, it should be good. I believe the water distiller was ~$70, and the water it puts out is roughly 20ppm. Which is really good considering my tap water tends to be around 270ppm. Super easy to put together as well! It makes around 1.2 gallons of water in like 5-6hrs.
Hi!! Sarracenia are awesome! The scarlet Belle you rescued actually doesn't look that bad (compared to what ive seen at my local shops lol). Very healthy for a discount shelf plant!
The best way to help it recover, I'd say, would be to just give it proper care. I mean, very simple and common sense but that's what I always do with my rescues. Most of the time they're not receiving proper care at the shops.
A key thing is to make sure that its getting plentyyy of light. Sarracenia need bright, direct light for 8+ hrs a day to do well. Then, make sure that you never let the plant dry out. You're right on with the distilled/rainwater :) Also, make sure that you're using a proper soil mix. No fertilizers. I use a 1:1 mix of peat moss and perlite, but some other mixes are 1:1 peat moss & sand, or sphagnum moss.
Im in the US, so I dont have a good answer for the water bit unfortunately. Since I exclusively grow carnivorous plants I have my own water distiller and that works wonders! For one plant I can't say that it'd be worth it, but wanted to add that nonetheless.

Hopefully this helped some, if you've got any questions feel free to ask! :)
@Merranda thank you for your response! I probably should have mentioned but I have a few other carnivores (another sarracenia, a Dionaea, a drocera and a nepenthes) currently I water them with pond water and they’ve been growing really well (particularly my sarracenia and nepenthes), I’m just concerned that if I continue to do this that eventually it might poison my plants.
How much was your water distiller and how did it work?
