Repotting issue?

Hey everyone, hopefully someone can help. My snake plant had lost another leaf. I'm thinking it need to be repotting or is it another issues going on? Parts of it looks like mold or something. #snakeplant #help #leafspots repotting">#repotting

9” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
Is the leaf soft and mushy, or dry and crunchy? If its soft and mushy, may be Overwatering. They like their soil on the drier side because they are VERY drought tolerant plants πŸͺ΄ so they dont like too much water.
Check for pests too. If u want to be thorough before u see Plant Dr. I would check roots to make sure no root rot ,unless you are Positive you havent been Overwatering?

@DaringColtsfoot the leaf is dry and crunchy and is dying from bottom to top. I'll check out plant Dr. And no over watering
@DaringColtsfoot Hi Ebonee, I'm Shannon AKA the plant Dr., according to LC! πŸ˜‚

Any chance you can take a photo of the whole plant for me.

It's hard to tell without seeing the whole plant. I looks like it's only happening to 1 plant in he pot.

I have a few questions.

Did you go a long period of time before picking up watering again?

I see bark on top. Is that a covering of bark on top or is it throughout the soil?

Is there drainage? Sometimes pots in baskets don't have drainage. Or they have a saucer in the bottom and the plant pot sits in standing water.

Was she outside for summer and recently brought in?

If you answer these I will know enough to give you an accurate diagnosis. 🩷

Wow πŸ‘Œ
Overwatering? These plants like to be forgotten about….. I might water mine twice a month and just a little bit.
I'm not sure genius here but this appears to be overwatering! These guys are strong! Hard to kill them has been my experience. That's why I love them!!
Dude got culled from the herd.. cut it off and move the main plant to a regular scheduled watering routine only watering when the soil is still dry after 1” of digging… the water schedule here isn’t always ideal because it doesn’t factor in temp or air circulations etc
@Lynsplants also make sure it can β€œsee” a window with light during the day
