Who knows what #spidermites look like?
I do! Cause if you have plants, you'll have bugs. 🪴 Even though my my #PlantProtégé was spraying the other night, these #pests clearly eluded him.
It is SO HARD to see spidermites and I've only actually seen them ONCE. You can see their 🕸️ webs 🕸️ and the things caught in their webs before you see them. 👀
For me, I figured I'd just cut off the infected branch (knowing they are still on the main plant) and I'll toss it in my rainwater bucket for the day. The pests will drown and I will spray my plants in that room well with #Natria once a day for about three weeks. That'll make sure I get the buggers in all their life-cycles.
Then I'll root the cut stem and plant it back in the pot with the other plants. 😁
Roll with the punches!

I've not seen them either, only the evidence of their existence.
Btw, I use dish soap in water as a spray solution and it works great. On my succulents (outdoors) I only need to do it twice at the most and the evidence goes away and the plant picks up where it was before the mites and all is well. If the problem is a flower stalk and the first dose doesn't do it, I sacrifice the stalk.

I do too!😵😖 Hate those little buggers, I had a massive invasion last winter of two-spotted spidermites. And had a few fruit-tree spider-mites this fall on my choceberry cuttings..
Hard to see before they get too many! (You usually see the damage they do first😖). Here is some I inspected through my mini-microscope.🕷
I batteled them with soapy water ☠️

@MockingJay nice that you have pictures! They look like ticks to me, moreso than a spider 🕷️. The war is ON!
I know what they look like. My outdoor succulents get them at this time of year. I’ve been bathing my plants for a month, a couple of pots at a time. I think it’s just too hot and dry -even though it is humid out - so I make sure to lower the solar shades I have to help keep them a bit cooler. Temp drops 20° with the shades and they don’t get the mites. Heat is a trigger here. They’re a nuisance!
