does my plant seem to be doing okay?
I was talking to my boyfriend and he was like “I think your cactus is dying” - we got matching plants at the same time and he said mine is much yellower, plus the coloring is very odd on the shorter parts. Does it just need to be repotted? anything will help, thanks! #FairyCastleCactus

Maybe it's because your plant is in direct light. Your smaller growth looks sunstressed. That's not bad, it's just different.

even though you both got your plants at the same time, the care and the plants' homes are different.
@sarahsalith thanks for the response! do yo think I should take it out of less direct light? I’m in AZ and it’s not even summer yet, so I the sunlight will just become stronger - does the “sun stress” do long term damage?
@honeybees usually sun-stress adds different colors to your plants. This type of cacti loves full sun.

EDIT- sun stress won't harm your plant. Oftentimes people buy sun stressed plants for their desired colors. Your plant looks good. (:
@sarahsalith okay, thank you sm!
