Can I keep watering via the cap?

I’m used to small bromeliads, which I just water via the cup/cap/urn. Does that still apply for larger broms? Additionally, I think this one is getting close to flowering; does that change anything?

@HeiressAlocasia I went ahead and did it. It’s what happens in nature, after all; the rain doesn’t stop just because a bromeliad has a flower :)
