Looks like it could be overwatering. I noticed in your plant card photo there's what looks to be a self-watering globe stuck in the soil. These guys can go a really long time without water and be just fine, but they'll pitch a fit if left sitting in damp soil for too long. Part of the issue could be the glazed clay pot, which doesn't allow the soil to dry out as quickly as a porous/terracotta pot. It's also really far from the window, and those small ring lights don't offer much help with drying out the soil.
Is the grow light hitting it? The leaf will turn yellow if its not getting enough sun
@I_AM_HOUSEPLANT itβs not reallyβ¦ it does get a little sun through the window during the day but I didnβt even think of this! Iβll try to angle the grow light differently! Thank you!
@sleepyb itβs full to wet and itβs trying to release the water that soil is to wet it needs to dry out a lot this plant donβt like soggy home prefer dry because they store the water so you donβt have water so frequently and I think this pot maybe a little too big prefer to be snug I hope this helps you can remove that but before check the rest and see if there still firm to the touch all the way up and down the stem because otherwise they all maybe taking In water as well.
You can certainly cut it off, you may even be able to propagate pieces from the healthy sections. But if overwatering is the cause, then the whole plant is at risk. My suggestion? Repot it in fresh, dry potting soil, ideally in a terracotta pot. If not in terracotta, just make sure you adjust the watering schedule accordingly (it will need water MUCH less frequently in a glazed clay pot). From that point forward, just make sure the soil feels 100% completely dry before watering again π
