@livslillies it looks like where water splashed on it and dried. The white is from the salts, minerals, etc in the water. The same white stuff that's on the outside of the pot
@livslillies apologies for my delay but it looks like chloride salt residue from tap water. If you take a moist paper towel and u are able to just wipe it off, itβs more than likely salts and mineral deposit from your tap. If youβre in the USA, most tap is hard water. I find I get this with my jade plant if I donβt condition the water or use distilled. I recommend using aquatic water conditioner to remove chloride and harmful salts OR using distilled. Too much mineral deposits can cause issues later down the road. If you use distilled make sure you are fertilizing (diluted amount each time) so youβre not washing away soil nutrients. Hope this helps! π
@DracarysDahlia coolio ! you mentioned you condition your tap water ? how do you do that ?!
@livslillies yes. You can buy water continioner on Amazon. Itβs for fish, but plants love it too. Itβs called stress coat, very cheap and lasts a long time. It removes chlorine and detoxifies heavy metal in your water. It essentially makes water safe for fish. But itβs often used for plants as well. I also suggest getting water strips to test your water if you wanted to see the results but itβs not necessary.
@livslillies use the directions on the bottle, thereβs a little line per gallon, dump that in your watering can and youβll be good to go
@DracarysDahlia amazing !!! thank you !! π€©
