Iris question
Can I pull up these sprouted #Iris plants? If I can how long can they be out of the ground before I have to replant? They are #OutsidePlants but I’m moving soon and would love to take some with me. Thanks.

@Goodchicken Finally another #oklahomagardener , thought I was alone for a while there!!!! 😮💨🤣😂Yes you can dig them up but just make sure to keep them in damp peat moss until you’re ready to plant again but try to do it quickly so they don’t go too far into shock. It may take until next spring to bounce back if they are in shock too long. It’s really best to dig them before they sprout their leaves because it’s a chance they may not come back next season but it’s worth a shot. Most plants are pretty resilient and forgiving so I’d say go for it! Good luck and happy planting 🌱 🪴
I would dig them up and put them in a temporary pot with soil in it, to protect them from drying out. Then plant them in their new home as soon as possible. 😊🌿💚
