Why is my Dracaena leaves falling off?
I checked on my new plant today and inspected the leaves to make sure there were no insects, as I was moving around the leaves to look under them the leaves just started effortlessly falling off. One of the whole head fell off. I gave it a shake and it lost like 40 leaves. How do I help it? When I brought this plan home it had a lot of brown spots on the leaves, I removed them and sprayed neem oil and water on it. Havenβt watered it yet. Also, should I cut that stem that has no leaves to propagate? Or leave it and see if it grows back ?
6ft to light, indirect

I'm glad you found Greg, Kyleigh! I'm sorry about your plant.
I took a gander at your plant card, did you just get it in July? That's very strange that all of them fell off at once. Was that before or after you treated it?
From the picture, I would assume something happened to the plant before you got it. However, if you used neem oil, that might have done it if the need was too strong - but it looks like those leaves were cut off.
#Dracaena plants like medium to bright indirect light. I have my pot of dracaenas right next to an east-facing window. I wait until the soil has dried before I water my plants well.
It's just very odd the way the leaves look. π€
If you'd like, you can see if the leaves continue to grow from that spot. If, after a month or so you don't see new growth, you can cut it straight across the top. Usually, when they are cut, they will branch. That's how the growers got your plant to branch out like that. (:

@liv91109 yeah. After more reasearch I seen it could be shock from cold air, itβs in the living room close to an ac. Itβs weird online it says it thrives in bright light then not to place it in bright light so I donβt know where to put it. I hope it survives .
@Kyleigh007 probably bright indirect light. i would put it near a east or west facing window, and further from the ac. ac can effect plants
@liv91109 alright thank you Iβm already indecisive and when I see do this donβt do that I get confused like what should I go with π Iβm gonna repot it and move it
@Kyleigh007 yeahh the plant world is very confusing ππ no problem!! enjoy your dracaena :)
@sarahsalith thank yo yo this was very helpful. When I got the plant I did cut off the leaves that had brown and red spots on them and sprayed ready to use neem oil along with some water mist. Iβve never seen this happen before it could be from the neem oil. In the picture the stems below the leaves are bleached looking and the leaves just fell right off. Im gonna move it to brighter light and hopefully save her.
