Don't You Die On Me!
Sylvia's been pretty great since I got her, besides being extremely delicate. About a week ago, she started declining, losing a ton of her leaves and vines, also brown spots appeared on some of them. Did I over water it? I barely water it to begin with. And is this plant super delicate by nature? For it's always losing leaves without even touching it. Any suggestions are appreciated. Hello! I have several vining peperomias (my oldest is 11-years-old), and this is surprising. They are very resilient plants. My suggestions: Only water when the top two inches of the soil is dry. They like light and they can even tolerate a couple of hours of direct sunlight under a covered porch. If your plant is housed inside, then make sure it is near a window with light. If it’s in an office setting, they also thrive under fluorescent lighting. The plants are very easy to propagate and only one stem can grow a healthy, plentiful plant. You may want to repot the plant in new soil and of course a planter with drainage, always. I hope my tips helps. Don’t give up yet! Best of luck! @SUNSHiNEPLANTS
OMG!!! I can’t believe this is happening to you too!!! I thought I was the only one!!! THE SAME EXACT THING IS HAPPENING TO MINE!!!! When I first got her, she was nice and full and lush and just exquisite!!! Omg, look at her now!!! It’s awful!! I can’t understand it and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. The only thing I can imagine it to be is a pest of some kind. Spider mites are my suspicion BUT I haven’t seen any webbing yet…
What’s really strange is that I have another Peperomia that’s dropping leaves like it’s her job!!! It’s my pixie lime!! She’s actually pretty big and full although, her leaves are not all the same shade of green. I have some really dark green, some medium green and some light green leaves although it does seem like it’s the light green leaves that are dropping. Sometimes when I get home, I’ll have 10/12 leaves that have dropped just during the day!!! These are what I came home to today…only 4 but still…WHY?!?!
