What's up with Ms Jade?
I mean by now I should know right?? But these plants still send me into a tizzyπŸ™„πŸ™„
She's all wrinkly and soft... and I remember thinking last time I watered her 'well she didn't take in much' so should I water her again? Or just set her out to get some good good sun? She's showing dry by my moisture meter but I don't want to over do it.. instinct is telling me to do both...I think I might have had her in a shaded area too long and forgot.. @vvvelo whatcha got?

For real!! Maybe try alternating her between butt chugs and top watering as well?? @ManyLime
Your plant card shows direct light, so it’s possible that she’s using up her water stores more quickly due to more intense light. I wouldn’t move her away from her current spot just yet, put perhaps try increasing watering frequency. For example, if you water every 2 weeks, try increasing to every 10 days, if you water every 10 days, try increasing to every 7, etc. Allow her some time to adjust and watch for any signs of overwatering during your experiment. Fingers crossed, she’ll perk back up in no time!
I think when they are wrinkly that means they need water.
@lazyplantparent ack. Plant card is incorrect on location. She WAS in direct light but I moved her to put a different plant in that spot and she's been in the shade ever since. πŸ˜• I think that might be the issue.. she's missing her sun.. and it seems like even tho I buttchugged her yesterday, she didn't take anything in, so I topped her just now. I don't think she's been taking anything in really thru bottom watering and I haven't been noticing 😬 I'll have to pay closer attention.
@LatiTish84 I think so too! You know when it's someone else's plant you be like it's so and so. But when it's your plant you question everything lol
Personally mines in a Southwest window and is thriving! Because its been hot, you’ll most likely have to water a lil more frequent. If her leaves are soft and mushy, its a sign of underwatering :)
Is this a current pic?
@LatiTish84 yup. I'm gonna have to pay more attention and top her off if she hasn't sucked anything up.
@kscape yeah I'm gonna move her to more sun today.
@jcPlantProper wait... I jussssst realized neither of my pics posted... ugh.. brb
Here
Sigh.
@ManyLime haha! Well just from what you’ve said, I think it likes that bright light. And let her butt chug for a few mins or water until the water isn’t like POURING out fast. That’ll let you know all the soil is saturated. And give that baby more light
@ManyLime oh she look thirsty. But you have to be careful not to shock them if they’re super thirsty
@jcPlantProper I swear this app likes keeping me on my toes when it comes to posting pics. And I haven't finished my tea yet 😩🀣🀣

Thanks guys. Cuz y'all are real mvps for helping and I didn't even realize the darn pics never showed upπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ
this is Miss Sierra, she got hella sunburnt and was shriveled and wrinkled like yours. I repotted mine, gave it a good soak and didn’t water for another week and a half! 3 weeks later, shes pushing out new growth and most of the wrinkly leaves have gone back to their normal form 🀩✨🌿
@kscape oh she's gorgeous! Ms Jade was a rescue from one of the box stores so she was already in rough shape. Hopefully she bounces back and starts to thrive like yours!
@ManyLime I hope so too!! My succs have been scaring me with scale lately so I put those granules to use 😌😌i cant thank you enough Jennifer 😭😭😭🀍🀍🀍
@kscape @jcPlantProper @LatiTish84 @lazyplantparent
Look! Ms Jade bounced back! I gave her a good soak and set her in good sun all day and by the time I got home from work she's nice and firm and perked up!
Thank you guys for your help!
