Snake with no roots!
I recently got this guy as a pup from a friend. He stopped growing and I went to repot thinking that was the problem, but I suddenly realized there were no roots! I have him in water and Iโ€™m hoping theyโ€™ll grow, but is there something else I should try?? He seemed so healthyโ€ฆ #SnakePlant #PropagationStation #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NotSoHappyPlants #PlantAddict #NewGrowth @Nightshade #GregGang

I see roots
@Boymom-plantmom he has some, but theyโ€™re all crispy and orange. Seem like they might fall off any second.
@tango ahh ok. Put water in that jar
@Boymom-plantmom done! Hopefully he perks up.
Hopefully it will help get some nice stronger roots:)
I'd lower the water level a little so there isn't water sitting in the center of the plant, just where the roots are. They are super slow growers I bet it will be just fine!
@PlantMompy ok!! Just did that, and hopefully some new roots will show!! Thanks for the help. ๐Ÿ˜
@tango you're welcome! You could always add pothos, rooting hormone or hydrogen peroxide to give it a boost if you feel it needs it.
@PlantMompy oh sounds good! I donโ€™t know if I have pothos cuttings right now, but I have hydrogen peroxide and rooting powder. Iโ€™ll try the peroxide! ๐Ÿ˜
That happened to me with a robusto(sp) I bought from Costco. I knocked it once and it fell out of the pot and had no roots. I stuck it in a much smaller pot and left it alone. I jussstttt repotted it like 2 days ago. Not a crazy amount of roots but ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ it's alive so I'm happy.
I hope this one grows strong healthy roots for you, it's so pretty!
@ManyLime thank you!!! Sheโ€™s been in a small pot for a while and surviving, but I think this might be overall healthier. ๐Ÿ˜
