Mother in laws tongue
Just bought a snake plant yesterday. I plan to change the soil to cactus/succulent soil is that a good option or do I need to use something different?

I think the pot is in is ok, I'd leaf it alone and allow it to acclimate to your home. Snake plants like to be tight in their pots and definitely do not need a lot of water, it's a plant than can tolerate some neglect and low light, I have mine in a shaded eastern window and one in a west facing window out of bright afternoon sun 🌞🪴
