What was the temperature range on the balcony, and was it getting hit with a lot of direct sun? Despite it now looking dry, crispy, and underwatered, watering every single day is far too often and likely caused it to rot. Then the combination of too much heat and/or too much direct sun caused it to shrivel up. Extreme conditions at either end of the spectrum can cause problems, and it seems your plant experienced both 😕
@TheConservator I was wondering the same! My guess is it endured both extremes one right after the other 🤷🏻♀️
