📣 Update to Greg's Intelligence 📣

Hi everybody!

Yesterday we released a big update to Greg's under-the-hood scheduling systems for water reminders ⚙️ 🌱 🧠 🔔

This update lays the groundwork for future improvements, but there are 2 changes some people might notice:

1.) If you have a lot of plants (100+) you might notice the app loading more quickly. More to come here! 🚀

2.) The system will be more stable. We needed to fix some issues that caused the app to occasionally become unavailable for a short period of time.

Besides that, you shouldn't notice any changes. Please post in #GregFeedback and tag @rjg and me if you notice anything that doesn't seem to be working correctly. A couple of people already did this morning when they noticed a bug, and it was a big help!

ALSO -- if you haven't updated your app in the last 3 months, you'll need to update to be able to add new plants. If you haven't updated in the last 9 months, you'll need to update to be able to view your schedule. Please update! You'll get the latest and greatest features 😊 🌱

@alex thanks. I made sure everything was updated and it still wasn’t working correctly on my phone. Only my iPad. But after turning my phone off and on it seems to have fixed the issue.

Question! I added an outdoor plant and it require me to select a racing window… does this impact the watering schedule at all? thanks so much for all you and Greg do!! 🌱
@alex is there a reason why it won’t let me ask questions sometimes, but it will let me create a post instead? Is there a limit to how many characters or hashtags that can be posted when posting a question versus a regular post? Just tried posting a question now several times and it said failed to post and to try again later every try. I have had that same issue many times before. It seems if there are too many characters or if it’s a long question then it won’t let me post it as a question and I have to post it as a regular post. It let me copy and paste and post the question as a standard post this time but not as a question. It get frustrating sometimes trying over and over. I’m wondering if I just need to use less words or make it a shorter post to ask as a question? And I noticed it doesn’t let you add hashtags the same way either when asking a question versus a post
Is that why it’s not letting me track my watering today? It’s saying I need a subscription but my current one doesn’t expire until 9/6. My app is up to date.

@Imapiggy0ink try closing then opening the app again, and if that doesn’t work then restart your phone. We’re working on a fix for the subscription issue that will be live on Monday, but in the meantime reopening/restarting should fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience!
@SirLiquorice if you could send the question you’re trying to post as an email to support@greg.app it would be a big help! There is a character limit, and it could be something else. We’ll investigate.
@Yogijos if you select outdoor then the window you set won’t affect the schedule! We’re planning to improve outdoor support, we know it’s a little bit clunky :)

Thank you #gregteam for all you do! We appreciate you guys so much! Will there be a feature one day to select water all plants instead of having to do it one by one? Asking for a friend that has almost 800 😂 jk I know I am a plant addict but it would absolutely make it easier on days I water everything at once 💚
