First time Dahlia mama

Question

Alright y’all.. first time with dahlia’s and I am SO INTIMIDATED. I need to know about watering, I’ve got them in a wine barrel pot. And if it matters I am in zone 9a,9b,10a. I’m getting conflicting information on google, 2x a week? When the top inch is dry? 😬

2 x a week and when the top inch is dry will likely come out to approximately the same timing 😁. They aren't too hard.  Stake it, because the flowers get big and heavy.  You could probably measure...maybe 1 gallon watering can 2 x a week.  Back off if that seems to be getting too wet.
